PURPOSE

Cetrimide Powder BP is a white or almost white free flowing, crystalline powder. As a quaternary ammonium compound Cetrimide Powder BP is a very efficient germicide, which is active against most common micro-organisms, such as bacteria and fungi.

 

APPLICATION

Cetrimide Powder BP is widely used in hospitals and industries for disinfection of instruments, equipment and surfaces as well as for skin disinfection (with Chlorhexidine gluconate and/or alcohol).

 

Composition

Cetrimide Powder BP consists of Tetradecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide.

Solubility:	Cetrimide Powder BP is soluble in water and/or lower alcohols
Compatibility:	Cetrimide Powder BP must not be mixed with anionic soaps/detergents because the activity will be reduced
Shelf life:	5 years. Store protected from excessive heat
