STRONG CETRIMIDE 40% SOLUTION

Strong disinfectant for many purposes.

 

PURPOSE

Strong Cetrimide 40% Solution BP is an effective germicide, which is active against most common micro-organisms, such as bacteria and fungi. Strong Cetrimide 40% Solution is widely used in sanitizers, disinfectants (with Chlorhexidine Gluconate and/or alcohol) and as preservative.

• General disinfection
• Skin disinfection
• Cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment

 

Composition

Strong Cetrimide 40% Solution BP consists of Dodecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (approx. 20%) and Tetradecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (approx. 80%).

Strong Cetrimide 40% Solution BP contains approx. 7,5% v/v isopropanol.

 

Specifications

Appearance:	Clear and colourless to slightly yellow, viscous solution
Solubility:	Strong Cetrimide 40% Solution BP is miscible with water or lower alcohols
Compatibility:	Strong Cetrimide 40% Solution BP must not be mixed with anionic soaps/detergents because the activity will then be reduced
Shelf life:	3 years. To be stored in well-closed containers and kept away from direct sunlight or excessive heat. Store at temperatures above 15oC. May form a solid gel or a viscous precipitate at low temperatures
Standard packing:	4 x 5 l in cartons, 10 x 1 l in cartons. Other pack sizes available
